Nowadays DDoS attacks are part of the Internet and every organisation has to deal with such attacks. To better understand DDoS attacks and its effects, analysis can be performed from backscatter traffic. This workshop will introduce the basis of DDoS attacks from a practical angle using backscatter traffic collected from black-hole/honeynet monitoring including Mirai botnet attack sample.
