Biography

Patrick Houtsch is of Luxembourgish nationality and born in 1972. Former managing director of the Luxembourgish governmental Computer Emergency Response Team (GOVCERT.LU), he now acts as deputy director at the Government IT centre.

Total budget including personnel cost is beyond 100 million euros with a staff of internal resources of more than 350 agents. Besides his executive duties at the Government IT centre he is member of different committees and task forces in the area of information and communication technologies and moreover cyber security. He has 20 years of experience in computer science. Formerly he was head of the security and audit department of the Government IT centre.

Patrick Houtsch holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the faculty of applied sciences at the University of Liège.
