Backed by 33 years of experience and having held various upper-level management positions with several multinational companies, Laurent Allard is recognized for his leadership and his ability to transform an enterprise.
After completing his education in computer science at the University of Lille (France), Laurent began his career as a systems engineer at La Redoute, a pioneer in distant sales, where he faced complex network and mainframe technologies. In 1984, he also participated in the developments of the first e-Business application on the pre-world wide web platform, Minitel. Then for 9 years with the French retail bank, Crédit du Nord, as a manager of Systems and Architecture, he developed a totally new information system during his tenure, enabling the transformation of the bank and its return to growth. In 1993, Laurent Allard joined AXA, a French multinational investment bank, as Chief System Architect, bringing an evolution to the group’s IT structure, which permitted rapid development (Acquisition/Merger). In 2001, while with the AXA Group, he was one of the co-founders of AXA Tech: a billion dollar company, responsible for the IT infrastructures of AXA subsidiaries throughout the world. (AXA Tech modernized the IT infrastructures of AXA while achieving a 25% savings.) At the end of 2008, Laurent Allard joined the Logica Group, a multinational IT management and consulting group, as CIO, creating a department to manage the worldwide IT functions of the group (presence in 26 countries). Then, during the acquisition of Logica by CGI in 2012, he was entrusted with the responsibility of Chief Technology officer of the CGI Group.
Throughout his experiences, Laurent Allard has demonstrated strong leadership capabilities that bring major transformation to organizations and align information technology with business needs while creating value. In 2008, he was recognized as CIO of the year under the category of Transformation.
