Biography

Olivier Melwig started his career in 1997 as network consultant and trainer for major French Telecom Service Providers like France Telecom and Transpac (now Orange group) to upgrade their regional backbones and launch a new corporate email service with Netscape. He also designed large terrestrial and satellite VoIP/Data networks for Matra MCNSAT around the world.

In 2000, Olivier took over the role of IP Engineering manager to rebuild former Lyonnaise Cable operator’s network and launch NOOS new brand triple-play services. He managed a team of up to ten network engineers to merge all French cable networks NOOS, NTL, UPC, Numericable nationwide in only one unique network during 6 years of successive acquisitions, re-engineering and optimization.

After that rich experience, Olivier joined Juniper Networks for more than 10 years to advise customers on routing, switching and security solutions. He entered the company in late 2006 as Systems Engineer to work on next generation network architectures for Internet Service Providers in France and French speaking Africa.

Since early 2011 he has been heading Systems Engineering team France for Service Providers and Enterprise market before expanding his footprint to Southern Europe to lead Strategic Vertical and Commercial accounts’ pre-sales team. He also animated several customer and partner events to evangelize Juniper innovative technologies and was the spokesperson as technical referent for press articles in France.

In July 2017 Olivier decided to dare the startup adventure by joining Acorus Networks founders to work on sales strategy and approach to winning new business and develop scaled DDoS protection solutions to land small to large accounts.

Olivier holds an engineering degree in Telecom and Data networks from the Institut Supérieur d’Electronique of Paris (ISEP).
