Thorben SANDER

Thorben Sander is CEO of Nordea Bank S.A. in Luxembourg and Head of International Private Banking since 2014. He is also member of the Executive Management Group of Nordea Wealth Management.

Within his 20 years career at Nordea, he has gained experience in several functions and has a long professional background from the Wealth Management area particularly within private banking, investments, savings and pensions.

He is of Danish nationality and holds a degree in Finance from the Copenhagen Business school and management diplomas from the London Business School, IMD and INSEAD.

He is a member of the board of directors of the ABBL (The Luxembourg Bankers’ Association), as well as chairman of the Board of Nordea Investment Funds S.A. and board member of Nordea 1 and Nordea Alternative Investment.
